Apples and Pumpkins

Thursday, November 6, 2014
In October I decided that I couldn't let Fall 2014 pass me by without engaging in some fun fall festivities so I went to Apple Day at Burwash Manor and to the local pumpkin patch.

As you might expect, Apple Day celebrated all things apple with entry money going towards helping the Sick Children's Trust. There was a vintage ploughing competition, a hedge laying competition as well as apple identification, a make your own apple cider booth, tractor rides, live music, a mini-steam train, and traditional craft booths.

The following day my friend, my husband and I headed over to the local pumpkin patch where we navigated through a corn maize, had fresh donuts and cocoa, and picked out some pumpkins for Halloween. Fun fact: I decided to name my pumpkin Benedict Pumpkinpatch.
